Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the full time and permanent Retail Manager is accountable for driving revenue growth across our omni-channel retail portfolio. Using your skills in innovation planning, merchandising, product development and retail operations profitability you will lead a team of full time and part time retail assistants and deliver to our curated collections-led philosophy for Hokohoko the Museum store, the Special Exhibitions store, and the online store.
Desired Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will offer:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior role within a multi-channel retail environment, preferably in a cultural sector or a high-volume visitor attraction environment
- A demonstrated understanding of retail practices including merchandising, product development, margin control and retail marketing
- A proven ability to lead, motivate and build sales and service through exceptional store management across all channels
- Skilled in the management and leadership of teams, and possessing the capability to build and develop relationships, both internally and externally
- Proven experience in stock purchasing, management, margin control and pricing, and an experienced stock merchandiser with a keen eye for design and detail
- Sound business acumen and commercial acuity
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications and Shopify online sales platform, and preferably Advance Retail POS system
