About MSAANZ

The Museum Shops Association of Australia & New Zealand is run by a volunteer Executive Board made up of elected representatives from member organisations across Australia and New Zealand and a Supplier Members' representative who is appointed by the Board. 

Board members are elected for two year terms.

    An experienced Commercial Product Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the museums and cultural institutions industry.

    Stephen is currently the Manager of Retail and Commercial Product Development at the National Museum of Australia and is based in Canberra.

    Sharon Sikkema

    An Experienced Administration Manager who fell into Retail 20 years ago and is still learning today!

    Sharon looks after the day to day operations and supervises Curatorial, Administration, Reception/Shop and volunteers at the Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre.

    She is currently the Heritage Centre Coordinator and is based in Beaconsfield, Tasmania.

    Nigel is the owner and manager of Science and Nature, a long-standing supplier member of MSAANZ.

    He has extensive board experience in not-for-profit industry associations.

    An experienced Retail Operations and Merchandise Manager, Heath has been working in the museums and cultural institutions industry for over eleven years.

    He is currently the Manager of Retail at the Australia Museum based in Sydney.

    LAURA CULL

    Australia Representative


    Laura is the Manager of Retail Services at the Western Australian Museum. Laura currently buys for six stores in the Westerm Australia museum group, including the flagship store in Perth, two Fremantle store Geraldton Kalgoorlie and Albany.

    Laura has an extensive background in retail buying with a degree in Retail Buying from Manchester and scholarship from the New York fashion institute.

    Alicia brings 35 years of retail experience with a love for storytelling, merchandising and product development. 

    Alicia is Director Visitor Experience leading commercial, programmes and visitor experience Wheako Pōneke Experience Wellington. 

    Alicia leads the commercial team to deliver exceptional retail experiences at City Gallery Wellington, Wellington Museum, Space Place, Cable Car Museum and Nairn Street Cottage.  She has a passion for supporting local makers and creatives and bringing the stories of our suppliers to life.
